As the first large-scale efuel project in Finland, VolagHy has been selected for Project Development Assistance (PDA) under the EU Innovation Fund, with support provided by the European Investment Bank (EIB) through EIB Advisory. This recognition marks a key milestone and highlights the project’s strong alignment with Europe’s industrial decarbonisation and sustainable aviation objectives.

The EU Innovation Fund is one of the world’s leading programmes supporting innovative low-carbon technologies. Projects awarded PDA are selected for their potential to deliver substantial emissions reductions.  

Through the PDA support, VolagHy will receive dedicated advisory services aimed at strengthening technical and financial structuring, improving investment readiness, and accelerating progress toward final investment decision.

By advancing sustainable aviation fuel production through innovative hydrogen-based solutions, VolagHy contributes to the decarbonisation of one of the most challenging sectors to abate.
